This five-building campus project consists of an administration building, classroom building, and three child daycare buildings, all of which comprise the new Child Development Center at Columbia College. The buildings are single-story wood framed buildings supported by continuous spread footings. The overall campus design incorporated “green” design and sustainability features including passive solar orientation and natural lighting and ventilation. The college district intended that the project be LEED-Gold Certified. Construction was also overseen by the Division of the State Architect.
